DAILY FEE•: A fee for one day (24 hours) or part of thereof of per entry. STUDENT• is herein defined as an individual aged up to 23 years old from a recognized learning institution with a valid students identification document. Students on personally arranged holidays will not enjoy concession rates. A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required for authorization of herein quoted concession rates. CHILDREN• Persons above 3 years but below 18 years. Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK) members will be charged the applicable students rates. NAIROBI PACKAGE comprises of entry into Nairobi National Park , Nairobi Safari Walk & Nairobi Mini Orphanage. MOUNT KENYA 3 DAY PACKAGE is inclusive of camping. Accommodation fees per night for organized groups (with prior approval of KWS) for persons staying in a field study centre• established in a national park or reserve as follows:-
A corporate pass may be issued to eligible utility providers having installations within KWS managed parks. Service Crew are an advanced team for camping tour operators. East African Citizens and Residents will be charged the respective Citizen and Resident rates in all our Parks, upon producing relevant proof of Identification. Other Parks and Reserves include the following: Marsabit, Oldonyo Sabuk, Mwea, Ruma, Saiwa Swamp , South Turkana, Mt. Longonot , Sibiloi, Central & South Island, Tana Primate, Kakamega, Shimba Hills, Arabuko Sokoke, Ndere Island . KWS Self Catering Bandas: KWS offers a wide range of self-catering accommodation in our National Parks and Reserves. Smartcard Ø This is a card used at KWS by its visitors to enable them get access to the National Parks. Ø Smart Cards are used to gain access to Nairobi , Nakuru, Amboseli, Tsavo East, Tsavo West,and Aberdare National Parks . Ø The card is loaded with money at the Point Of Sale (POS) and deducted at the park entrance Point Of Access (POA). Obtaining Smartcard Ø The card can be obtained in all KWS Smartcard Point Of Issue (POI) offices upon producing proof of identification; National Kenyan Identity card for citizens, valid Passport or Alien certificate/Work permit for residents. The card is available for Persons aged 18 years and above, and can cater for accompanying children under the age of 18 years. Ø Smart cards are issued free of charge, but replacement is at a fee of KShs. 1000/ only. Ø Tour Operators can obtain Smartcard by submitting application to KWS Smartcard Manager,accompanied by copies of the Company Pin, Company Certificate of Incorporation and KATO Certificate if any. Ø The POI offices are found in the following National Parks:-Nairobi Park main gate, Lake Nakuru Park main gate, Tsavo East main gate (Voi) and Mombasa KWS offices. Ø The offices are open everyday from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Ø The POS offices are located at all Smartcard Offices at the following National Parks: - Nairobi Park main gate, Lake Nakuru Park main gate, Aberdare Hqs, Tsavo East Park main gate(Voi), Tsavo West Park Mtito Andei gate, Amboseli Park Meshanani gate, Mombasa KWS Offices and Malindi Marine. Ø Proof of identification is required upon entry into any KWS parks.
Safari card: This is an upgrade of the smartcard that has been used before to access the KWS National parks. The Safari Card will be rolled out soon. Other foreign currencies are accepted however the equivalent of the dollar will be applicable
